Vita

Next to her own practice as an artist, Anna Kubelík, collaborates with a wide variety of people from diverse fields and disciplines within the Arts and Sciences, such as dancers, composers, theatre directors as well as scientists and most recently with people from educational, scientific and cultural organisations. Hence it is inherent to her work to range in scale, material and context, however there is always a performative element to be found throughout all her projects.

Studying at Chelsea College of Art & Design Anna Kubelík carried on to finish her Diploma at the Architectural Association, School of Architecture in London/UK. After working as an architect in London and Berlin, she started her own practice.

Based in Berlin, Anna Kubelík works internationally on projects. She has received numerous awards and scholarships, such as the first prize Blooomaward at the Cologne Art Fair, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Council Fond Berlin for the Arts and Culture and has enjoyed residencies in Europe, Asia and the United States.

In the last years she has been guest critic and lecturer amongst others at Chelsea College of Art & Design (London/UK), at the IED European Design Institut, at the Accademie di Belle Arti di Roma and the Cornell University in Rome.

Most recently she was a fellow at the ‘Akademie Schloss Solitude’, resident at the ‚Goehte-Institut‘ in Beijing as well as the holder of the ‘Rome Prize’ at the Villa Massimo.
