my perception of ‘things and stuff’ (a terminology I use to circumvent ideas of object and subject dichotomies) is not subordinate to questions of truth, reality and authenticity, but rather an attempt of (self)trans-in-formation. seeing the agency, the willpower, and activity of things and stuff I hope to learn to un-purpose what I would generally view with an objectifying gaze. seeing things as they appear and not as what I know them to be is a process of clearing and confusing of my own gaze and imagination. I understand it as a daily training to purge myself form preconceptions. it is a political practice. some of the sculptural stuff or installations or assemblies of things that come up are the documents of—the stories about—this process.
