The office consists of a team of five people who work on cultural policy issues relating to art in public space and art in architecture. Together, we develop concepts, strategies and ideas for social discourse.

The Team
Martin Schönfeld
Born in Berlin in 1963, Studied Art History and Sociology in Heidelberg, Bonn and Berlin. Member of the Office for Art in Public Space since 2000.
Britta Schubert
Born in Göttingen in 1970, Studied Sociology, Political Science, Ethnology, Mediation and Conflict Resolution in Göttingen and Potsdam. Member of the Office for Art in Public Spaces since 2005.
Katinka Theis
Born in 1975 in Freiburg, degree in sculpture from 1996 to 2000 at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Bonn. From 2007 to 2009, Master's Degree in "Spacial Strategies" at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. Member of the Office for Art in Public Spaces since 2021.
Stefan Krüskemper
Born in 1963, lives and works as a freelance artist in Berlin. Degree in Architecture at Dortmund University, postgraduate degree »Kunst und öffentlicher Raum« at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. Member of the Office for Art in Public Spaces since 2025.
Hauke Zießler
Born 1991 in Jegenstorf (Switzerland). 2012 - 2015 Studied Intercultural Relations and Behaviour at the Jacobs University Bremen. 2016 - 2018 Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence with a concentration in Art and Cultural Heritage Studies and Near Eastern Studies at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at the Brandeis University, Massachusetts. Began working in the office for Art in Public Space in 2025.
